Dr. Zeeshan did his schooling at Saint Mary’s High school Peshawar and then got admission in Khyber medical College Peshawar after securing high grades in HSSC exams. He was awarded academic talent scholarships by University of Peshawar for securing high marks in professional exams. After graduation in 2002 and completion of houseman ship at Khyber teaching hospital, Peshawar he went to the UK for further training in 2004.
Dr. Zeeshan completed his basic surgical training in the West midlands deanery, UK and also passed his MRCS exam from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He was also awarded the MRCPS degree from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow. He then underwent higher surgical training in Trauma &Orthopaedics Surgery in the East Midlands region where he was trained in all aspects and subspecialties of trauma &Orthopaedics surgery. During his training he developed a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery, arthroplasty and Oncology. During his training he passed his FRCS Tr&Orth exam and was awarded the degree by Royal College of surgeons in Edinburgh. To further hone his skills and knowledge, he undertook advanced training (Fellowship) in Orthopaedic Oncology, Adult reconstruction and arthroplasty at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham, where he worked in one of the best units in the world under the auspice of some of the world renowned surgeons.
Dr. Zeeshan has a particular interest in research and education and has undertaken various post graduate certificate awards in evidence based trauma &orthopaedics from University of Warwick, UK. He is the author of numerous research articles (more than 25) published in various internationally renowned peer reviewed journals focussing on orthopaedic oncology, arthroplasty, trauma and education. He has also presented his work at various regional, national and international platforms in the UK, Europe and USA. He is also a reviewer for the British medical journal and orthopaedics reviews. He is a faculty member of various FRCS Tr&Orth exam revision courses where he teaches primarily on bone and soft tissue tumours.
Apart from general orthopaedics, Zeeshan’s main interest and expertise is in Orthopaedic Oncology where he treats bone and soft tissue tumours and focuses on limb salvage surgery in liaison with world renowned doctors from the UK. He is also fully trained in joint replacement and keyhole (Arthroscopic) surgery both in primary and revision cases.
